What beach will I be surfing at?

We operate our lessons at La Jolla Shores beach.

What kind of surfboards do you use?

All our lessons use soft-top foam boards, our board standard size is 8ft unless a larger board is requested. The bigger the board, the easier it is to learn. We wouldn't recommend going smaller than an 8ft board for a beginner surfer.

How long are your surf lessons?

Our surf lessons are 90 minutes.

Do you offer surfboard rentals?

Yes, we offer two types of surfboard rentals:. Foam Soft Top Boards - $12/hour or $36 for a half day (5 hours). Performance Soft Top Boards (Formula Fun) - $24/hour or $72 for a half day (5 hours).

What is the difference between a private and group surf lesson?

In a group surf lesson, you will likely be paired with others in a small group. With a private surf lesson, you will not be paired with any other guests, and have the instructor(s) to yourself.

Safety is our top priority. All our instructors are certified in CPR and first aid. We provide detailed safety briefings before each lesson, and our instructors are always in the water with you to ensure your safety. We also monitor weather and ocean
